Meerut reports max 2,269 cases

Uttar Pradesh has tested 4,31,69,533 samples till now, including 2,14,977 in past 24 hours

Uttar Pradesh reported 21,331 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the total number of cases to 15,24,767 and with 278 fresh deaths took the total number of deaths to 15, 742 on Monday.

“Number of patients recovering daily is more than those testing Covid for the past one week. Even today 29,709 patients recovered,” said Amit Mohan Prasad, additional chief secretary, medical health.

Lucknow reported a maximum 1,274 fresh Covid cases, Kanpur 430, Ghaziabad 532, Gautam Budha Nagar 1,026, Prayagraj 239, Baghpat 242, Gorakhpur 1031, Meerut 2269, Saharanpur 961, Varanasi 864, according to the state health department data. Kanpur reported a maximum 30 deaths, Lucknow 26, Jhansi 16, Gautam Budha Nagar 10, Ghaziabad 4, Azamgarh 15, Hardoi 12, Gonda 12, Prayagraj 6, Meerut 6, Varanasi 9, according to the data.

State has tested 4,31,69533 Covid samples till now, including 2,14,977 in the past 24 hours.

“Of the total samples tested in the past 24 hours about 1,12,000 were RT PCR samples,” he said.
