Maha govt extends lockdown till June 1
The Maharashtra government on Thursday extended lockdown-like restrictions in the state till June 1 to stay on track in curbing the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in India’s worst-hit region. Chief secretary Sitaram Kunte said in an order that the curbs will remain in force till 7am on June 1. The order also enforced additional restrictions, including a mandatory negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test report for any individual entering the state. The test report will have to be issued within 48 hours before the time of entry into the state, it said.
