LU students’ fest Sanskritiki

LUCKNOW: In these trying and tough times, Sanskritiki, the cultural board at the University of Lucknow, is trying to reach out to people, raise their spirits and spread positivity. A unique fiveday live online festival, Festtastic 2021, is being organised by the students. It is an event with competitions of poetry, posters, speeches, monologues, painting and all things creative. Evening events have jamming and other fun events. From their homes in different districts and even from different states, students of the university and colleges are painstakingly helping organise and participate in events planned from May 11 to 15, said Rakesh Chandra, dean, academics. “There is live streaming on YouTube and also recorded uploads. Vice-chancellor Alok Kumar Rai joined in to encourage students and also to guide them towards better presentations,” Chandra said. Parents of students are also joining in not only as viewers but also as participants. All are invited to join this effort, said Chandra.
