646 STUDENTS AWARDED DEGREES
LUCKNOW : It was for the first time since its inception that the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, (IIML) held an online convocation due to the pandemic.
The convocation ceremony saw 646 students being awarded their degrees by chairman, IIM Lucknow Board of Governors, N Chandrasekaran and director, IIM Lucknow, Prof Archana Shukla. A total of 404 students from the 35th batch of post graduate programme (PGP) in management, 74 students from the 16th batch of PGP in agri-business management, 19 students from doctoral programme, 103 students from international programme in management for executives (IPMX), 29 students from PGP in sustainable management and 17 students from executive fellow programme in management (EFPM) received the degrees.
Prof Archana Shukla said this year the institute achieved a massive digital transformation.
N Chandrasekaran, chairman, BoG, IIM Lucknow, spoke about the challenges the pandemic had thrown and how together all had to work together to start afresh.
Dr Janmejaya Sinha, the chief guest, in his address said he would like to share the lessons he learnt from his mentors which guided him and that he was sure they would guide the graduating students as well.
