59 IAS officers to enforce Covid-19 guidelines in districts

LUCKNOW : No less than 59 senior IAS officers will work as nodal officers in the districts allotted to them, while some officers have been allotted more than one district. Chief secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari issued directions along with the names of IAS officers appointed nodal officers for all the 75 districts, on Saturday. These officers, according to Tiwari, will also ensure enforcement of Covid-19 guidelines. Secretary, mining, Roshan Jacob has been allotted Lucknow district while relief commissioner Sanjay Goyal has been appointed nodal officer for Prayagraj. Divisional commissioner, Varanasi , has been allotted Varanasi and Chandauli districts while commissioner, Gorakhpur division, Jayant Narlikar will look after Gorakhpur district. Similarly, divisional commissioner, Agra, Amit Gupta, and commissioner, Kanpur, Raj Shekhar, have been appointed nodal officers for Agra, Kanpur Nagar and Kanpur Dehat. Chief executive officer, Greater Noida, Narendra Bhushan, will oversee the fight in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
