-

Long-distance relationships have always been tricky. But, with the restrictions now in place, most relationships have turned into longdistance ones, for couples seldom get to meet. “I miss telling him the smallest of things,” shares Ghaziabad-based Vaishnavi, whose boyfriend, Saksham, has to move back to his hometown, Farrukhabad.

Many have even observed a change in outlook towards the relationship. “Messages, fiveminute video calls feel like a chore...There are days I feel the emotions in our relationship are over,” says Shivani Nagar (name changed), who’s been in a relationship for nine years.

Psychologist Pulkit Sharma says such feelings must not be confused with boredom in the relationship, adding, “In such grim times, people are bored of everything… At the end of the day, communication is key.” These tips may help you out:

Communicate every feeling, l positive or negative. Keep the tradition of ‘I love l you’ going; don’t suddenly bail with a boring ‘Gn’.
