NCC OPENS DOOR TO MORE PVT SCHOOLS IN STATE
LUCKNOW: There is good news for schools in Uttar Pradesh wishing to introduce NCC. The Central government has recently allotted 4,000 Junior Division/Wing vacancies in NCC under the Fully Self-Financed Scheme.
Additional Director General (Uttar Pradesh) Maj Gen Rakesh Rana stated that schools which are interested in out-ofturn allotment in the fully-selffinancing schemes can approach the nearest NCC office.
This move will further help spread the footprint of NCC in the state which already has 1.5 lakh cadets, the highest in the country.
This move comes after a long-pending demand of numerous schools who could not introduce NCC due to limited vacancies.
This will benefit the student community in a big way, where, not only will they get an opportunity to play a major role in nation-building but also, apart from getting NCC ‘A’ certificate, will also benefit immensely while seeking admission into professional colleges.
Cadets will get basic military training and also an opportunity to attend camps, treks, mountaineering courses, leadership development capsule at the national level besides participating in various social service and community development activities.
