DM inspects Civil Hospital, urges people to book their slots

LUCKNOW : District magistrate Abhishek Prakash on Tuesday inspected Civil Hospital—city’s biggest vaccinatio­n centre—to check ongoing vaccinatio­n and to ensure that Covid protocols were being followed. During the day, around 800 people got vaccinated there.

The inspection began during the morning hours soon after the district magistrate reached the hospital. During the inspection, it was found that five vaccinatio­n booths were functionin­g there smoothly. Of them, two booths were for people of 45 and above age group, two for those between 18 to 44 years and one for women between 18 and 44 years of age.

The women-only booth also had all women staff. While inspecting the centre, the DM also interacted with the people and asked them to share their experience­s. Making an appeal, the DM said those between 18 to 44 years of age should first book their slots on CoWIN portal and then reach the vaccinatio­n centre as per their allocated slot.

The DM also directed the hospital authoritie­s to carry out vaccinatio­n on a war footing.

‘Make O2 plant at Chinhat hosp functional in 10 days’

The district magistrate on Tuesday directed to make the oxygen plant at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Chinhat operationa­l within 10 days.

On the day, the DM also held a meeting with the hospital staff and the health department in this regard.
