UP minister dies of Covid-19
LUCKNOW: Vijay Kashyap, 52, the minister of state from Uttar Pradesh (UP) and a lawmaker from Charthawal assembly segment of Muzaffarnagar, succumbed to Covid-19 infection on Tuesday. Kashyap was admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon after testing positive for Covid-19. The fifth BJP MLA and the first UP minister to have died of Covid-19 in the second wave, Kashyap, was the minister of state for revenue and flood control in the UP BJP government. CM Yogi Adityanath has condoled the minister’s demise.
