UP cabinet condoles minister’s death
LUCKNOW: UP cabinet on Wednesday condoled death of minister of state for revenue and flood control Vijay Kashyap. Kashyap was undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram. He breathed his last there late Tuesday evening. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the meeting of the state cabinet that passed a resolution to condole the death. Kashyap was born in Rampur Mariharan village of Saharanpur. He was elected to the state assembly for the first time on BJP ticket from Charthawal assembly constituency of Muzaffarnagar in March 2017. The resolution described him as an able administrator and softspoken politician, who was very popular among the people and his death was an irreparable loss to his family, region and UP.
