Satirist Pankaj Prasun’s campaign kicks off

SPEAKING ON THE OCCASION MAYOR SANYUKTA BHATIA PRAISED THE EFFORTS OF GURUDWARA ALAMBAGH AND BHARAT VIMARSH FOUNDATION.

Three truckloads of relief material for Covid patients were dispatched to Rae Bareli by Gurudwara Alambagh, Bharat Vimarsh Foundation for ‘Aao Gaon Bachayein’ campaign supported by actor Sonu Sood, poet Kumar Vishwas in presence of organiser satirist Pankaj Prasun on Friday. The trucks were flagged off by mayor Sanyukta Bhatia and Sandip Anand in the presence of a limited gathering.

Actor Sonu Sood has send three oxygen concentrat­ors while Kumar Vishwas has send 200 medical kits while Gurudwara Alambagh and Bharat Vimarsh foundation have send 10 jumbo oxygen cylinders, five regulators, 100 oximeters, 100 PPE kits, 50 steam inhalers, 500 masks, 5 temperatur­e scanners, 100 gloves, 20 face shields besides 100 ration packets for the residents of rural areas. Noted singer Malini Awasthi has donated 100 ration kits for the residents of six blocks in 30 villages of Rae Bareli.

Speaking on the occasion mayor Sanyukta Bhatia praised the efforts of Gurudwara Alambagh and Bharat Vimarsh Foundation. President of Alambagh Gurudwara Nirmal Singh said, “The gurudwara will continue to serve anyone who calls for assistance. Today one truck was stuck in a pool of mud while going to deliver a cylinder to a patient in Hasanganj area. We immediatel­y arranged a tractor and ensured that the cylinder was delivered to the patient. We towed the truck later with the help of a crane, such is the determinat­ion to serve people.”
