COVID HOSP MUST START SOON ON HC CAMPUS: ABA
LUCKNOW : After the state government agreed to set up a Covid hospital on the campus of Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court, Awadh Bar Association (ABA) wants the facility to come at the earliest.
“There must not be any delay in starting work. This facility must come up before third wave of the Covid,” said HGS Parihar, president, Awadh Bar Association. “This facility must also have a paediatric ward as apprehensions are there of children also getting infected in the third wave,” he added.
On May 18, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had visited the high court campus to inspect existing three clinics on the court campus and ongoing Covid vaccination camp there. It was during this visit that the CM had accepted the proposal to set up a 100-bed Covid hospital on the court campus which could be used for lawyers and their family members. The Bar Association had requested the government to use newly constructed lawyers’ chambers in D, E and F blocks, multilevel parking and auditorium.
