MAN BLUDGEONS WIFE TO DEATH

A man, in a drunken state, bludgeoned his 30-year-old wife to death by hitting with an iron rod in Naya Purwa village under Sushant Golf City police station limits of the state capital on Saturday night, said a senior police official here on Sunday.

“The police have arrested the accused husband after registering an FIR of murder under the IPC Section 302 and send the body for post-mortem examination,” said BK Singh, SHO, Sushant Golf City police station. The police said that primary investigation suggested the woman died due to fatal injuries on her head. According to police, the accused Sanjay Kumar killed his wife Manju after having an argument. The woman was rushed to a local hospital, but she was declared brought dead.

The police said the villagers nabbed the accused when he tried to escape and informed the police about the incident. The accused was later arrested and sent to jail.
