RLD DEMANDS DOOR-TO-DOOR FREE VACCINATION

-

: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) has demanded the state government to launch a door-to-door campaign for free vaccination against the Covid-19 to cover a maximum number of people at the earliest.

“Without the door-to-door drive for free vaccination state’s 70% population will be deprived of vaccination,” RLD national general secretary Anil Dubey said in a statement here on Sunday. He alleged the government had no vaccination policy for more than 15 crores rural and 6 crores illiterate population.

He said it was not possible for rural and illiterate people to register themselves through the mobile app for vaccination. “Therefore, door-to-door vaccination is the only way out,” Dubey said.

Raising question over the slow pace of vaccination, he said only 30-40 lakh people had been vaccinated so far in the state.

At this, pace, he said it would take more than two years for all people to take vaccine shots. Dubey pointed out that even the Indian Medical Council and the Bombay high court have recommended the idea of door-todoor vaccination.
