AZAM HEALTH DETERIORATES; JILANI IMPROVES
LUCKNOW : The condition of veteran Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, 72, deteriorated on Monday when his oxygen requirement rose to 5 litres per minute.
He was sent for CT scan which detected fibrosis and cavity in his lungs.
Rakesh Kapoor, director, Medanta Lucknow, said, “The condition of Azam Khan is critical but under control and a team of critical care experts is keeping a close watch on his condition. The condition of his son, Abdullah Khan, is stable.”
Meanwhile, the condition of senior lawyer and secretary All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Zafaryab Jilani, who was operated for a clot in his brain, is improving.
He was removed from ventilator support after his overall condition improved on Monday. A team of doctors from the neurosurgery department of Medanta is keeping a close watch on his condition.
