Ayodhya mosque trust submits drawings, fees to development body
LUCKNOW: UP Sunni Central Waqf Board (UPSCWB) on Monday submitted the drawings of the mosque and other establishments of public utility with the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) for the final approval of the proposed project in Dhannipur village of Ayodhya.
As a part of the project, a mosque, a super-speciality hospital, a museum, Indo-Islamic cultural and research centre and a community kitchen are to be developed on the five-acre land in Dhannipur allocated by Supreme Court in its Ayodhya verdict. “The trustee Captain Afzaal Ahmad Khan held a meeting with vice chairman and other officials of Ayodhya Development Authority to discuss the project that include a 300-bed super speciality hospital, a community kitchen that will feed about 1,000 people daily, a research centre dedicated in the name of great freedom fighter martyr Maulvi Ahmadullah Shah and a mosque that can accommodate two 2,000 namazis at a time,” said Athar Hussain, spokesperson Indo Islamic
Cultural Foundation (IICF), the trust which UPSCWB had formed to look after the construction of Dhannipur complex. The maps in eleven sets have been submitted to vice chairman Vishal Singh of Ayodhya Development Authority. The trust has also deposited Rs 89,000 as processing fees for the approval of the map
Captain Afzaal said the map of the project was big in size and very much different from normal maps so it can’t be applied online and therefore the development authority had been requested to approve the map offline Captain Afzaal also expressed his concern over non issuance of tax exemption certificate of 80G by the Income Tax department to Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation due to which the donations for trust are held up and that is hampering in starting of our project. He urged the union government and finance ministry to interfere
UPSCWB had released the blueprint of the mosque and other structures of public utility on December 19, 2020. As per the blueprint, mosque would be a zero-energy structure of modern design with a capacity to accommodate around 2000 namazis.
