Another LMC community kitchen launched

The community kitchen of zone 5 of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) was launched by mayor Sanyukta Bhatia at Geetapalli Community Centre, on Monday. With this, the LMC has started kitchen service for the poor in all eight zones of the corporation. The LMC is also operating community kitchens in Kalyan Mandap of Jiamau, community centre of Malviya Nagar, Lakshman Gaushala in Jankipuram, LDA community centre in Virat Khand, Lohia Park Community Centre in Chowk, Awas Vikas Convention Centre A Block Indira Nagar, Kalyan Mandap Aurangabad crossing near Ashiana. The mayor said, “LMC is feeding over 15,000 people daily. These people are either coming to Lucknow on train, buses, living in slums, or attendants of Covid-19 patients in hospitals. The LMC is committed to serving the poor and not letting anyone die of hunger.”
