Major fire breaks out at HPCL refinery in Vizag
A major fire erupted at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) plant in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. No casualties were reported after the incident. Visakhapatnam district collector V Vinay Chand said the fire was doused quickly, averting major damage. “There were no casualties nor was anyone injured in the mishap,” the Collector told reporters here. The fire broke out in the crude distillation unit-3 in the HPCL old terminal, people familiar with the matter said.
