5 more black fungus deaths
LUCKNOW: Five more patients of mucormycosis (black fungus) succumbed to the infection in the state capital on Wednesday.
Officials said as many as 25 new patients were admitted to different hospitals in Lucknow on Wednesday.
In all, 18 patients were operated. Till date, a total 269 patients have been admitted and 26 patients have died in Lucknow alone.

University (KGMU) admitting 21 new patients on Wednesday, the total count of patients reached 170 at the medical university, said authorities.
A 60-year-old male patient from Kannauj, a 52-year-old man from Farukhabad, a 65-year-old man from Nawabganj and a 47-year-old man from Lucknow died at KGMU, said Dr Sudhir Singh, spokesperson KGMU. Another patient died at Lohia institute.
