MAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE AFTER POISONING WIFE, TWO KIDS

A man tried to commit suicide after allegedly poisoning his 30-year-old wife and two sons in Beersingpur village under Isanagar police limits of Lakhimpur Kheri district on Tuesday night, said a senior police official. Kheri SP Vijay Dhull said, the deceased were identified as Nanhi, wife of Budhai, and his two sons Kuldeep (2) and Sandip (1).

Budhai has been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition, he said. According to sources, Budhai insisted his wife Nanhi to go with him to his village, however, his wife asked him to wait till her parents Santu and Shanti returned from a neighbouring village. This led to an argument between the husband and wife.
