Awareness through training
LUCKNOW: Aiming to raise awareness, 12,955 women, 8,596 girls, and 257 men and boys were trained under the menstrual hygiene management (MHM) programme by the Tata
Trusts’ Tata Water Mission (TWM). This was done between April 2020 and April 2021, according to a press statement. The MHM programme, with its social behaviour change communications (SBCC) campaign, focused on empowering women by building a conversation around menstruation, and taking it further to schools and at the community level, thus, destigmatising this natural biological process.
