CONG SETS UP PANEL TO PROBE MISMANAGEMENT OF COVID, RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN UP

Uttar Pradesh Congress has set up a high-level fact-finding panel led by former Union minister Salman Khursheed to probe alleged cases of human rights violations during the pandemic, fake-fudged data related to corona and Covid mismanagement in the state, said the party in a statement on Thursday.

In the statement, the UP Congress Committee (UPCC) president Ajay Kumar Lallu said the panel was set up following directions of party national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and includes eminent social sector leaders and party leaders.

He said apart from Khursheed social activist Sandeep Pandey, former MP PL Punia, UP Congress legislative party (CLP) leader Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’, former union minister Pradeep Jain Aditya, Manavadhikar Jan Jagran Samiti coordinator Lenin Raghuvanshi and Jal Jodo, Jan Jodo campaign’s national coordinator Sanjay Singh were in the panel.

He added that the members would work in different parts of the state and submit their report to the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee soon.
