NOW, DL APPLICANTS HAVE TO WAIT TILL JULY

LUCKNOW : Around 26,000 applicants who have applied for driving licence will have to wait for new slots till July.

These applicants had been given slots for license during the period of corona curfew starting from April 23 to June 30. But they will have to apply afresh as all the time slots given by Regional Transport Office (RTO) office from April 23 to June 30 have been cancelled.

RTO administration RP Dwivedi said, “The Transport Nagar RTO office used to issue around 350 licenses per day , besides 120 learning licenses. But no license has been issued from April 23 and all the slots till June 30 have been cancelled , so around 260,000 applicants will have to get new slots in July. However, those applicants whose slots have been cancelled will not have to pay any fees as they have already paid the fee once.”
