8 new cases reported in Lko, 5 more deaths

LUCKNOW : Five more black fungus (mucormycosis) patients succumbed during the treatment at the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) while eight patients were admitted on Friday. “In the past 24 hours, 13 black fungus patients have been operated upon by the team of doctors,” said Dr Sudhir Singh, spokesperson KGMU. Those who succumbed include 30 and 57-year-old men from Kanpur, a 40-year-old man from Lakhimpur-Khiri, a 57year-old woman from Mainpuri and a 40-year-old man from Manikpur in Bihar.
