SPECIAL VACCINATION DRIVE FOR VENDORS FROM JUNE 15

LUCKNOW : A special drive will be started in the state from June 15 to inoculate people like vegetable sellers, three-wheeler and bus drivers, milk and other street vendors against the Covid.

“The idea is to vaccinate all those who move out and come in contact with several other people during their work such as three-wheeler drivers, bus drivers including those of private buses, milk vendors and rickshaw-pullers,” said Amit Mohan Prasad, additional chief secretary, medical health, in a press conference on Sunday.

‘Parents must carry age proof of below 12 kids’

Parents going for Covid vaccination at the specially made “parent booths” will be returned if they fail to show the age proof of their children below 12 years.

Starting June 1, the parents who have at least one child below 12 years of age can get vaccinated at special “parent booths” that will be made in all the districts in the state. Each district will have at least two such booths.

Giving this information, Amit Mohan Prasad, additional chief secretary, medical health, UP, said, “If you do not have children below 12 years, please do not register at parent special booths as the security personnel will first ask for either Aadhaar card or birth certificate of your child and if you fail to produce it, you won’t be vaccinated.”
