28 SUCCUMB TO COVID IN CITY

Lucknow recorded highest number covid deaths (28) in the state on Tuesday.

However, only 54 new covid cases were reported during the last 24 hours. With 28 more deaths in the last 24 hours , Lucknow’s total death tally is 2466 now. Altogether 354 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the same period.

The number of active positive cases has dropped to 1951 in Lucknow, this number was 55980 in the third week of April . Till now, 233178 people have defeated the virus in the state capital.

Meanwhile, a 53-year-old woman from Barabanki died due to black fungus while undergoing treatment in King George Medical University on Tuesday. Altogether, 15 new patients of black fungus were admitted in KGMU on Tuesday, said spokesperson of KGMU Dr Sudhir Singh.
