LAND ACQUISITION FOR GANGA E-WAY TO BE COMPLETE BY JULY: CS

Chief secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari on Tuesday said that 60% of the land required for the construction of the Ganga expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj had already been acquired and the rest of the land would also be acquired by July end. He was presiding over the project monitoring group’s meeting to review the progress of some important projects.

During the review, he found that 60% of the work of the Bundelkhand expressway was complete and the construction of bridges on the Betwa and the Ken rivers was in the advanced stage. The one side of the expressway, he was told in the meeting, would be opened for traffic in February and the other side in April 2022.
