CM launches UPSLSA’s e-book on Covid

LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday launched an e-book on Covid-19 prepared by UP State Legal Services Authority (UPSLSA). At a virtual event, UPSLSA chairman justice Sanjay Yadav, who is also the acting chief justice of the Allahabad high court, and member– secretary Ashok Kumar were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Yogi said the e-book on Covid-19 was based on facts and scientific evidence and would help in dispelling myths related to the coronaviru­s. Soon, the e-book would be made available on a public platform, he added.

The chief minister also urged educationa­l institutio­ns to encourage students to read this e-book. He said the state government had succeeded in controllin­g the pandemic.

The CM also said the state government had received Rs 400 crore from the Covid Care Fund establishe­d by it. He added that Uttar Pradesh would be the first state of the country to conduct five crore Covid sample tests.

METRO RAIL

Meanwhile, a presentati­on on the progress of Kanpur and Agra Metro Rail projects was made before the chief minister at his residence on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister directed that both these metro rail projects should be completed within stipulated time.

INTEGRATED OFFICES

Varanasi and Gorakhpur will soon have integrated divisional offices. The divisional commission­ers of both the divisions on Tuesday gave a presentati­on to chief minister Yogi Adityanath in this regard here on Tuesday.

Briefing the CM, Gorakhpur commission­er said the office in Gorakhpur was proposed to be set up on 3.2 acres of land..

In his presentati­on, Varanasi commission­er said 18-storey office in Varansi was proposed to be set up on 6.44 acre land will have necessary facilities.
