Akhilesh takes a dig at ‘double engine’ govt
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday targeted the BJP leadership for calling its central and state governments as ‘double engine’ governments and said development schemes were waiting implementation during the tenure of so called ‘double engine’ government in Uttar Pradesh.
In a press statement, Yadav said instead of working for development, the BJP government was busy playing politics with officers. Without naming any officer, Yadav said the BJP leadership had sent an officer (now turned politician) to work in the state. He said the officer was, however, not allowed to work. He said similarly an officer was not allowed to work in West Bengal and was instead asked to report to the Centre.
Yadav said the BJP was stooping to low level in politics. He said the BJP was indulging in politics of vendetta following its defeat in West Bengal.
Akhilesh sais the BJP was conspiring against the Mamta Banerjee government and creating problems in West Bengal and its actions were against spirit of federalism and the Constitution.
