BJP CORPORATORS STAGE DHARNA AGANIST ‘ATROCITIES’

: Some corporators of Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) on Friday staged a dharna in protest against filing of an FIR against Indira Nagar corporator Dilip Srivastava and others besides an alleged attack on Sarojini Nagar corporator Ram Naresh Rawat two days ago.

Deputy leader of BJP corporators in LMC House Kaushalendra Dwivedi , corporators Saranjit Singh, Vinod Maurya and Kamlesh Singh staged a protest in front of their office. “False cases have been lodged against corporators Dilip Srivastava, Rajesh Dixit and Ram Naresh Rawat by police. The atrocities on corporators are committed on the directives of anti-social elements,” they alleged.

Recently, the police lodged an FIR against corporator Dilip Srivastava when he was allegedly trying to construct a temple at a public place. Meanwhile, a case against Rajesh Dixit was lodged by his tenant and a case against Ram Naresh Rawat was lodged by LMC officials. Meanwhile, a meeting of BJP corporators was called to discuss recent trend of lodging of FIRs.
