NHRC seeks probe into assault of Assam doctor

NEW DELHI: The National Human Rights Commission has asked the Assam government to probe the alleged assault on a doctor at a medical facility in Hojai, and take “needful, preventive and punitive action” in the case, officials said on Friday.
