Govt hiding data on Covid-19: Priyanka

LUCKNOW: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday questioned the Union government for ‘hiding’ and ‘playing’ with data about Covid-19.

A Congress press release said, Priyanka had raised questions in her post on social media under the ‘Zimmedar Kaun’ campaign. She said correct data could help protect the people from coronavirus. Why did Union government make the data a tool to project its image, she asked.

She said the Union government was giving total number of Covid-19 tests being done. She said it was also giving total number of vaccinations and both the does were being counted together instead of giving the numbers in proportion to population.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Kumar Lallu targeted the state government for its policy to save children from malnutrition. He said large number of malnourished children in the state indicated that the state government’s policy was only on paper.
