LDA to prepare development plan for Lucknow
LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday decided to prepare a development plan for the state capital to ensure overall development of the city and to appoint a consultant to execute the project.
Presiding over the 171st board meeting of the development authority, LDA vice-chairman Abhishek Prakash approved a proposal in this regard. It was also decided in the meeting to appoint a consultant for the project by inviting a request for proposal.
Another important decision taken was related with determining high security zone near the high court. It was decided that areas up to 100 metres from the high court, Gomti Nagar, would fall under the high security zone. All buildings near the high court could have a maximum height of seven metres.
It was also decided that development authority and private developers will develop township on Lucknow-Sultanpur highway on the land made available after the Sahara India opted out of the project.
The development authority has also decided to offer 912 flats lying vacant at its various housing schemes on bulk sale. These flats are in Shrawan Apartment, Kanpur road, Aishbagh Heights and Samajwadi Lohia Enclave. The LDA is expected to earn Rs 350 crore from the sale of these flats.
The LDA will also develop four parks, including those at Butler Palace and Safed Baradari in Qaiserbagh. It was decided to rename Butler Palace park after Veerangana Uda Devi. Moreover, for the 2021-22 fiscal, the development authority has set a target of income of Rs 2,169.03 crore and expenditure of Rs 1,919.44 crore.
