YOU GO, GIRL!

Actor Rashmika Mandanna took to Instagram to launch an initiative, celebrating Good Samaritans who have gone out of their way to help others, during the pandemic. Through her campaign, Spreading Hope, she aims to encourage people to value these superheroes and get inspired by these real-life stories of courage and compassion. Rashmika, you inspire us!

BEING KIND TO ALL

Hungarian couple Klaudia Kis and Richard Varga came across two rare white-tailed eagles, clasped together, during their journey from the Black Sea near Romania to the Black Forest in Germany. The duo rescued the eagles before continuing on their journey, as part of a challenge to raise awareness of Danube river pollution. Compassion for all makes this world beautiful.

A MASTERPIECE

Odisha-based artist Arun Sahu beautifully carved two copies of the Hindu holy book Hanuman Chalisa, in wood. Sahu wishes to gift one copy to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the other to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

CUTENESS PERSONIFIED

In a heartwarming video, three-year-old Jaxon Emberton from UK, born with a chromosomal abnormality known as DiGeorge syndrome, is seen beaming with delight as he sees his parents, Charles Emberton and Cassie Booth’s faces for the first time, after being given a pair of glasses. The little one’s smile has won the hearts of many!

A NOVEL STEP

In a bid to support conservation efforts and help with the cost of taking care of zoo animals, amid the pandemic, Bengaluru zoo has urged citizens to adopt animals. A part of the contribution will be used for conservation efforts, and cover partial costs of feeding and veterinary care of around 2,388 animals here, belonging to 102 different species.

LOVE TRULY WINS!

As they say, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way’. Para swimmer Shams Aalam tweeted a compelling picture of a tricycle built by Bill Forward, an Australian, to take his wife, an Alzheimer’s patient, out for a ride. He captioned it, “Creativity, Inclusivity, Dignity, Love wins!” We couldn’t agree more.
