Lucknow ups the vaccination game
To spread the word about importance of vaccination many groups and institutions have come forward to offer help and create awareness.
An international webinar was organized by Shia PG College in the state capital. Themed ‘Safety from Covid, variants and importance of vaccine,’ the webinar saw attendance over five hundred people including guests, students, staff and management members. Medical and science fraternity members from countries like Germany, Canada, Norway, and England took part in the event.
Also, present were Prof Taqi Abdi, Dr Hasan Rizvi, Dr Nadeem Hasnain and Dr Tasneem Saeed. The speakers stressed on the importance of timely vaccination and how the vaccine aided during the second wave.
The speakers also asked the authorities to get at least 50% of the population before winters as then only we will be able to fight this pandemic.
The webinar was earlier inaugurated by Dr Mirza Mohd Ejaz Abbas.
Also, a Covid vaccination camp was organised at a city mall for all its employees and retailers working within the property and premises. All employees and their families along with the retailer staff workers, above 18 years got vaccinated with first dose.
The centre director Sanjeev Sarin informed, “The vaccine was administered to over 400 Phoenix Palassio employee including the retailers store staff during the camp as we want the mall open with 100 per cent vaccinated staff. Awareness was created among the employees on the rapid spread of the viral infection.”
The Sant Nirankari Mission, Lucknow Branch is holding a COVID-19 vaccination camp starting from this week at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhavan. The vaccination centre will facilitate people in the age group of 45 years and above. People coming for vaccination are required to to carry their Adhaar cards and wearing a mask while coming to the venue.
