Bank introduces online process for deceased claim

LUCKNOW: Dependents of deceased customers having accounts with banks face a lot of difficulties to claim the amount due to lockdown and other movement restrictions. Looking into the difficulties being faced by the claimants/ legal heirs, the Central Bank of India has introduced a new scheme for easier and hassle-free processing of deceased claims. Now, requests for the claim can be placed on the bank’s toll free no.1800221911. The request can also be placed on the Bank’s website under the “what’s new and other services”.
