AZAM KHAN MAY NEED OPERATION: HOSPITAL

The condition of senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, 72, is improving after treatment of infection in his kidneys. However, he has a little complicati­on in urination and some tests are being performed by the doctors. If things don’t improve in a day or two then he may be operated, said director Medanta Lucknow, Dr Rakesh Kapoor.

He said, “Azam was admitted to Medanta hospital on May 9 after he tested positive in Sitapur Jail. Later on, he also developed infection in his kidneys and problems in urination, however, he may or may not require operation for improving the urination process, but his condition is stable, and he is recovering. A team of doctors from the nephrology and urology department is keeping a close watch on his condition.”
