Together in the time of need

Taking an initiative to reach out to those in need in today’s time, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University has come up with a month-long social and cultural event.

The event, ‘Healing Hindustan’ is an online affair with a motive to provide relief to the people suffering from difficulti­es caused due to the ongoing pandemic. The main aim of the event is collect funds through the mega programme which witnessed a set of different sub events and activities including fancy dress, poetry session, common man videos, just a minute and more.

1090 Power Angels & Super Heroes Club of the university also held a panel discussion on June 6 under the ongoing series on the subject ‘Street Harrasment, Mental Healing and Self Defense.’ The three guest speakers for the talk were Shubham Tiwari, psychologi­st Neha Anand and Aryaki a National Taekwondo player.

The events are being carried online and are seeing active participat­ion from the students and high number of views. The inaugurati­on ceremony too was held online as well as live-streamed on the official channels. To provide relief to the Covid warriors and the needy, the fundraisin­g will be done throughout the month. Club Coordinato­r Dr. Veena Singh is curating the
