9 women swept away in Ganga, 7 rescued

VARANASI: Nine women were swept away in the current while taking bath in the Ganga near village Madhgura in Sadar tehsil of Mirzapur on Thursday. Seven of the nine women have been rescued. A search operation by NDRF rescuers is underway to search the two women still missing , police said. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the incident and instructed the officials to provide best possible medical care and carry out rescue operation.
