SAVING LIVES IN DEATH
The gift of organ donation is the greatest gift of all. R Chenthamarai, a resident of Singanallur, Coimbatore, met with an accident and was declared brain-dead. In a compassionate gesture, the family of the deceased came forward to donate his organs. In his death, he gave life to eight people as his kidneys, liver, eyes, and bones were donated to those in need.

Manzoor Ahmad Chak, a teacher in Kashmir, treads inhospitable terrain every day to bring his smartphone into a network zone to upload the lesson plan for the day on the Learning Manag-ement System portal of Jammu & Kashmir’s Education Department. The students patiently wait for their classwork to be able to study.
REFORESTATION HERO
Jadav Payeng, an environmental activist and forestry worker from Majuli, Assam, is all set to make Mexico greener by initiating a plantation drive involving students. Known as India’s forest-man, Payeng has signed an agreement with a Mexican NGO, to collaborate on conservation of ecosystems in the South American country.
