‘Digital tools bring radical changes in society’

LUCKNOW: Secretary of technical and vocational education department, Uttar Pradesh, Alok Kumar, on Wednesday said that one can reach the masses only by using digital power.

“The general public got the right informatio­n. Health, education, business and some other sectors like entertainm­ent have seen radical changes brought about by new age digital tools,” he said while speaking at ‘The Digi Conclave India-2021’.

Uttar Pradesh’s biggest digital conclave was organised by ‘Virtual Box’ in which more than 1000 participan­ts took part and at the event, all topics related to digital power were discussed. The event was attended by eminent personalit­ies from different sectors who talked about role of digital medium and future trends of digital marketing.

Charu Srivastava, CEO of ‘Virtual Box’ said that ‘this was the first time that such a conclave was being organised in UP.

Jayant Krishna, senior fellow, CSIS elaborated how digital media was actually a disruptive innovation that had impacted the society, business models, people’s habits and cultural fabric. Krishna said, “The digital media could be owned, earned or paid. However, the ‘earned’ digital media is most organic and shapes people’s opinion about the brand and its equity.”

He said, the digital media boosts productivi­ty, facilitate­s social interactio­n, increases brand awareness, enables job search and increases the availabili­ty of learning resources.
