BESIDES NIGHT CURFEW, OTHER CURBS ALSO PUT IN PLACE IN UTTAR PRADESH

LUCKNOW : Besides night curfew, various other restrictio­ns have been put in place in Uttar Pradesh. For instance, a maximum of 200 people would be allowed to gather in marriage and other social functions taking place in halls. If any gathering is taking place in an open space, 50 per cent of the total capacity would be allowed, said a press note issued by the state goverment.

However, movement of vehicles carrying essential goods, people involved in essential services, and ambulances etc will be allowed during the night hours too. Along with this, personnel related to Covid control, police personnel , frontline health workers and those working in night shifts in different industries will be allowed to move on the basis of their ID cards.

Besides,RT-PCR test should be done strictly for the passengers coming from highrisk countries. At the same time, random samples of foreign passengers would also be taken.

RT-PCR tests of people coming from other states would be conducted after taking a report from the monitoring committee. Meanwhile, effective arrangemen­t of antigen testing at railway and bus stations along with RT-PCR test of suspected passengers must be made, says the government order. Through the Integrated Covid Command Control Centres (ICCC), the process of track-test-treat will be done effectivel­y.

No mask, no goods

Traders have been told about “no mask, no goods” campaign by the officials of the state government. Under the campaign, shopkeeper­s were requested not to give goods to those customers coming to them without wearing a facemask.

A must at wedding, other functions

The press note says a Covid help desk is a must at the entrance of every venue, where a marriage or any other social function is taking place, with the availabili­ty of sanitisers and masks. Two-yard distance rule must be maintained and other Covid protocols must be followed.
