Cops in districts get VVIP security training
LUCKNOW : For better coordination with the central security agencies and foolproof arrangements during VVIP visits ahead of the coming assembly polls, the state police security headquarters here conducted the first phase of a special training programme for nodal officers of VVIP security of different districts on Friday, said additional director general (ADG) of UP police security, Binod Kumar Singh. He said the nodal officers who had already been nominated in all 75 districts, were called to the security headquarters for training to. He said the nodal officers of 25 places were trained in the first phase of the programme on Friday, while training of others would be done in the second and third phases in the coming week.
He said the training programme was arranged as multiple VVIP visits were lined up in different districts in view of the coming assembly polls in 2022.
The ADG said the nodal officers were given general introduction of the security department and main challenges and then made aware of principles and categorized security in VVIP security arrangements.
