: Vice chancellor of the University of Lucknow (LU) Prof Alok Kumar Rai on Tuesday distributed certificates to the students who successfully completed their internships under the in-house internship schemes “Karmodaya” and “Karmayogi” of the university.
Addressing the students on the occasion in a programme organised at Manthan Hall of LU, the VC laid emphasis on making efforts for comprehensive development. While congratulating the students, he said the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has opened many avenues for the comprehensive growth, development and skill enhancement of the students, the results of which will prove to be far-reaching in nation building. Seven students of “Karmodaya” scheme and 35 students of “Karmayogi” scheme received the certificates at the event. The amount of internship is being paid directly into the accounts of the successful students of “Karmayogi” scheme through bank transfer. The students said the two schemes were quite relevant and meaningful in their learning process as most companies expected internship from fresher candidates also. Besides, they also got a lot of help in personality development along with working in a team in a timely manner.
Dean, students’ welfare, LU, Prof Poonam Tandon said inspired by the success of the “Karmayogi” scheme, on the demand of the students, the “Karmodaya” scheme was started by the university under student welfare centric programmes.
