Mehbooba warns of agitation over divisional status
SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president on Friday threatened to launch a peaceful agitation along with other parties if divisional status is not given to Chenab Valley and Pirpanchal region of the state and is granted to Ladakh.
The former chief minister also blamed governor Satya Pal Malik for pursuing an agenda which is influenced by someone else.
Former J&K chief minister said that after assembly was dissolved, many decisions were taken which are against the interests of the state.
“Many decisions were taken which are against the interests of J&K. Governor, who himself is a politician, should understand the sensitivities of J&K and should remain over cautious. Every day some order is being issued which is creating insecurity among people of the state.’’
