JNUSU seeks action against dean
NEW DELHI: The JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) on Monday wrote to vice-chancellor Jagadesh Kumar seeking action against the dean of students’ for allegedly withholding the union’s fund. The dean denied the allegations.
In the letter, JNUSU said, “It is to bring your notice that JNUSU had written to the dean of students Umesh Kadam requesting for transfer our annual JNUSU funds… It has been nearly a week the JNUSU is still waiting for response from the dean.”
Kadam denied the allegations, saying the bills are not in accordance with the Lyngdoh committee recommendations. “The bills have to be submitted separately by all candidates. But the committee submitted a consolidated bill without bearing a GST number. We have been asking JNUSU and the election committee to resubmit the bill but they are not listing,” he said.
