PATNA: The Bharatiya Janata Party is going all out to ensure the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bhagalpur rally on Tuesday after the grand alliance’s show of strength in Gandhi Maidan.

The rally at Bhagalpur is expected to witness Modi come out all guns blazing against the Congress, the JD(U) and the RJD.

At the Gandhi Maidan rally, Cong ress president Sonia Gandhi, chief minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad had tore into Modi and his policies.

Eight of the nine seats that went to the opposition’s kitty were from Kosi, Purnia and Bhagalpur divisions in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

For mer union minister Shanawaz Hussain played down Patna’s show of grand alliance. “Gandhi Maidan is just 62 acres, while the airport ground is spread across 204 acres. The grand alliance made it a Bihar rally, with people from all the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies. Bhagalpur rally

will cover just eight LS seats. While Gandhi Maidan was not even half full, people will see the spectacle at Bhagalpur and do a comparison.”

Hussain also dismissed the opposition’s attack on ` 1.25 lakh crore Bihar special package announced by Modi. “Nitishji is giving full page ads to prove his point. That is our victory. Nitishji is known for changing subjects as per his convenience,

but the announcement of special package is not allowing him to do so. BJP has made him stick to development by drawing a line which he will be unable able to counter.”

Senior BJP leader Sushil Modi asserted that the PM’s appeal and his commitment to deliver and take Bihar forwardwere factors behind the huge turnout of people and Bhagalpur would be no different.
