Despite spending a fortune in Rohtak, Hooda lost: Capt Yadav
In 2005, I being the Congress legislative leader supported Hooda. I got him 11 MLAs via horsetrading, which is why he became the CM. But in 2014 assembly elections, despite spending so much money in Rohtak, Hooda lost four constituencies. This calls for introspection CAPTAIN AJAY YADAV, Congress leader
Senior Congress leader Captain Ajay Yadav on Sunday attacked former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for corruption during his regime as the CM of Haryana, highlighting the bickering between the Hooda-Tanwar group once again.
The Congress leader said he could have become the chief minister of the state if he had the kind of money that Hooda earned through the change-in-land use (CLU).
The Congress leader was addressing party workers at Congress Bhawan in Rohtak, where he also said that he would contest for Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming election from Hooda’s stronghold Rohtak—from where Hooda’s son Deepender has been winning from last three times.
“In 2005, I being the Congress legislative leader supported Hooda. I got him 11 MLAs via horse-trading, which is why he became the CM.
But in 2014 assembly elections, despite spending so much money in Rohtak, Hooda lost four constituencies. This calls for introspection,” Yadav said.
Defending HPCC president Ashok Tanwar and CLP leader Kiran Choudhry, Yadav said those who were seeking their ouster were disrespecting Sonia Gandhi’s decision.
He said there were chances of mid-term elections in Haryana considering the dissatisfaction among BJP MLAs with CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
