APPLICANTS WILL BE ISSUED PROVISIONAL ECLU ON THE SAME DAY OF FILING AN UNDERTAKING AND THE REQUISITE FORMS
From next month, getting a change of land use (CLU) certificate will be a click away with the department of housing and urban development rolling out the facility of E-CLU (electronic - change of land use).
“Lalru in Mohali district will become the first location for which applicants will be able to get E-CLU,” said Ravi Bhagat, director, town and country planning, and special secretary, housing and urban development.
PROVISIONAL CLU
An applicant will have to apply for the E-CLU on a dedicated web portal using the unique id provided. Thereafter, he will have to fill the requisite form and sign an undertaking agreeing to fulfil all terms and conditions, and submit requisite documents like a no-objection certificates (NOC) from departments like forest, pollution, and highway authorities. After signing the undertaking, the applicant will be issued a provisional CLU.
The applicant will be able to check the status of his application online. The department will inform about any discrepancies in his application through email.
“After all the undertakings, NOC and conditions are completed and submitted by the applicant on the portal, he will be asked to deposit the requisite charges. After the applicant makes an e-payment he will be issued the final E-CLU,” said a town and country planning official.
WHAT NEXT
The start of the E-CLU for other locations in the state will depend on the completion of digitisation of cadastral maps (a public register showing the details of ownership and value of land; made for the purpose of taxation) of these areas. Mosaicing of the master plans and the related satellite imagery is also being undertaken. Goindwal, Sultanpur Lodhi, and Bagha Purana are next in line after Lalru for the start of issuance of E-CLU as digitisation of master plans of these locations is either complete or nearing completion.
