‘Public will take into account CM’s false promises’
Lok Sabha member Anurag Thakur lashed out at chief minister (CM) Virbhadra Singh on Saturday, alleging that he has been making last minute announcements only to woo the voters.
“Virbhadra Singh has been making last minutes announcements and laying foundation stones of different projects without any budgetary allocation. The budget speech is available on public space and can be accessed by all,” said Thakur.
“None of the announcement made in the last few days have any mention in the budget speech,” he added.
“The public will take account of the false promises made by chief minister Virbhadra Singh and his government and discard them in the upcoming elections,” he said.
He further said, “The entire regime of Virbhadra has gone in managing corruption cases and now with enforcement directorate (ED) is attaching another ₹ 5.6 crore in connection with money laundering probe, which proves that CM VirbhadraSingh wouldn’t have had the time to go through the budget speech in order to match his announcements.”
The BJP MP said, “The chief minister always dismisses claims against him by steering the conversation in another direction. Not even once has he ever replied to the allegations against him based on merit.”
“This clearly highlights that the chief minister has been least bothered about the welfare of public and state and has rather been busy misleading people by making false promises,” further added Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur.
